Sortable Date or ID Columns in Admin

The sortable columns in admin>links are great, but don’t filtering/sorting on the ID as it did in previous versions. It also doesn’t display the date the link was created. In a widget, I am displaying the 20 most-recently entered links leading to news items. I don’t need to retain the older links. Previously I would be able to filter the links by ID, and then fairly easily delete the older links. Now, I seem to be limited to sorting by name, URL, visible flag, rating. The ID is not available nor is the date. If there were a way to display the date or ID, at least I’d be able to manually delete the older entries. If I could sort on the date or ID column, then it would really be easy.
