Can you be more specific as to what files your trying to edit and what method you are using to edit these files?
I can’t edit any files. I can’t get to them. When I’m in Dashboard and click on the editor link I get the message “Sorry, that file can’t be edited.” I can still write and edit posts. But I can’t get into the edit panel. Have I been hacked?
Did you get your problem resolved? I having the same issue when i go to the theme editor and a few other areas.
Are your permissions set correctly? If your file permissions are locked down, you can’t edit files from the theme editor/plugin editor areas. (if you do change the file permissions ot make them editable, be sure to change them back when you’re done.)
I was just experiencing a similar problem. I had the plugin Theme Switch installed (WordPress 2.9) and when I deactivated it, life was good again. Hope this helps.
