   when inserting widget code as well, I can't place any adsense at the top of a post, only after the first paragraph works

   Did you check the html source code? see whether the ad code is inserted into the post?

   I like the idea and even sent a few bucks but the program is buggy.

   I just added a post to one of my sites and only one tag was showing and not two.

   On another site I have to enable pages, so that posts display adsense.

   Hopefully the "bugs" will get exterminated.

   Many WordPress users are using Quick Adsense plugin for earning. I believe your problem is not due to the plugin itself. There are many factors such as the WP theme you are using, the plugin setting, etc.
