Hi Shupshe,
I’d certainly be interested to investigate this problem. The only way I can see that it could happen is if you’ve never pressed “Save Changes” to save your settings before attempting a backup.
We certainly don’t intend to be ‘snarky’ to anyone (we’re not American, by the way, so have never heard that word in spoken speech); we have many 5-star reviews praising our support so it was surprising and distressing to receive this report. It’s hard to help when you get the lowest-possible review and criticism of your responses to support without receiving any opportunity to fix the problem first.

I have experienced this error. It happens the very first time the plugin is installed. It disappears after the first time you complete a backup. Apparently if there has never been a backup, this error appears. It’s a minor cosmetic bug.
One time, the Backup button wouldn’t respond no matter how many times I refreshed the page. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it worked fine. I’m use the newest version of Google Chrome on Windows 7.
Great plugin! I will look for the paid version.
Hi,
Thanks.
We didn’t anticipate folk trying a backup before they’d saved the settings… that’s when the error occurs. It’s fixed in the latest available download, so it shouldn’t happen to anyone again.

Hi Shupshe,
We’d be thrilled if you were able to review a more recent release of UpdraftPlus, and see if it’s still worthy of a 1-star rating… or if you can give it more this time!
Best wishes,
David
