Something happened to my customized themes & media (4 posts)

I have three sites that use wordpress. I noticed today as I went to update one, that the themes have all changed and all of the customization I had done to them is gone.

I checked my dashboards to see what I might find and discovered all the themes had been updated...though I never opted to update them; which is to say they were updated without my permission.

How does this happen and how can I get my sites looking how they're supposed to look?

On one site, stickfigurenightlive.com, using the Comicpress theme (for web comics) the site opens on the wrong page (i.e. not the most recent post), buttons don't work (can't click next, previous, etc), and posts are missing their (very relevant) media files (which are right there on my server).

On another, stuffsaidshow.com, the theme formatting is way wonky.

And on another, hatterentertainment.com/news, the theme is completely eradicated, resembling nothing close to its intended design.

I intentionally did not update themes in order to maintain the customized appearances of my sites. That they appear to have automatically updated and wiped out my sites in nearly every way is HIGHLY troubling and I'd love a solution to return the sites to their prior appearance.

they appear to have automatically updated

I'm sorry but that's simply not possible, WordPress does not (and cannot) automatically update anything. So someone updated those themes...

Do you or your host have a backup of the sites?

esmi: I know I didn't...and I'm the only admin for the sites.

WPyogi: I run backups before updating WordPress versions, so those are on my server, sure.
