Your blog post should have an rss feed...probably something like this:
your_blog_url/?feed=rss2
where do i find the feed and what do I tell the person who wants it what to do? sorry but i'm an idiot on this stuff
your feed is here
http://takebackthehome.com/blog/?feed=rss2
you can add it to your theme's header.php or footer.php or sidebar.php - typically
you can even add the little rss subscribe button
your guests will need a feedreader like live bookmarks, bloglines, yahoo reader, google reader, etc.
If they are asking how to subscribe, chances are they know how.
I'm in the same boat and not techie enough to understand the kind replies.
I have the blog at
hapthepupdogblog.com
if you would look at it.
Viewers have more than once asked how to subscribe to the RSS feeder.
I see the little orange RSS square in the corner.
When clicked, I see the articles listed and on the right sidebar a way to hear a podcast of one sample of music I have in one article played. Also a way to mail a link...
But I don't know where to begin to enable viewers to subscribe to my blog.
Do I go to http://hapthepupdogblog.com/blog/?feed=rss2
Will I see a way?
Thanks for any help.
And there's a second issue while I'm at it, if you don't mind:
Viewers are having trouble making comments on my blog in general. They read a posting, see the comment button...
I do have the privacy set for all comments to await my moderation first but is it best to have them sign in or just anyone comment, my moderation and decision...?
It must be working or else I wouldn't have known about the RSS problem with some viewers. Anyway, thoughts on this are welcomed.
If you wish to discuss off this forum...
thepuppysong@yahoo.com is a biz email for me.
Thanks again.
I desperately need some help in a simple layman's language, step by step to learn.
In case of RSS, you do not have to do anything. You do not need to enable the RSS, it is already enabled. Just provide them the link
http://hapthepupdogblog.com/?feed=rss2
They can follow your blog using this URL....
Jeez ... give them your blog address. They bring it up on their system. They start their RSS reader application and click "add this location." They are subscribed.
Is that really so difficult?
