   Can anyone tell me why this post doesn't appear on the homepage of my blog, but this one does?

   Could it be because I've started using MarkDown in my posts? If so, what can I do?

   first, your first link is giving me a 404 error page.. .missing.

   if you use the Markdown, you may have to edit all your posts with this new feature to make all your posts similar...
