Some plugins cannot be updated... help please! (5 posts)

Greetings all. I am having an odd problem that I can't seem to find anywhere on any forums here or on plugin sites. The issue is this: i cannot save or update about half of my plugin settings. When I hit save or update, I am immediately taken to the "General Settings"; and none of the changes I implemented on the plugin took effect, and all defaults are still on.

For instance, I cannot turn on wp-Super cache, as I have to save my changes to enable it. Or, I cannot change the number of wall posts with wp-wall.

Any help in fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Ah yes, I am using wp 2.7 and all of my plugins are up to date, and I get no errors or error notes of any kind.

    Thanks!

You could be running into a server resource issue.

Is it possible for you to deactivate all the other plugins besides the one you're working on (or as many as you can) before trying to save?

    Which plugin is it?

The ones that don't allow me to save are: Share/save buttons, wp Super cache, pb-embedFlash, WP Paypal Payment, Useronline, WP wall.

The ones that work are: All in one SEO, Lightbox 2, OPenID, email, reCaptcha, XML-Sitemaps.

Also, even when all plugins but the one I'm working on are deactivated, I get the same problems. The ones that update update, the ones that don't, don't.

Despite how many forums I have searched through for a post dealing with this problem, I have yet to find one like it. So, I am literally completely in the dark on this issue, as I simply cannot find it covered in days and days of searching through forum postings on many different sites.

Can someone please help me with this issue? I've gone months without being able to resolve it, and it's fairly important.
