    Hi there,

I've been experiencing some missed tweets. I'ts kinda weird, usually it works fine but some times it doesn't tweet the post.

I'm using (always) WordPress for iOS to publish my posts (latest version).

Is there any way to get a log or errors so we can identify why it doesn't tweet in some cases?

I've chekced "Get Debugging Data for OAuth Connection" but I can't seem to find that data.
Also, I just activated "Send Twitter Updates on remote publication (Post by Email or XMLRPC Client)" as it was never checked.

Does it return an error when it doesn't post, or does it fail silently?

It fails silently, at least no error is shown in the iOS App.

I don't have any way to send an error back to the iOS app, so you would need to log in to see any errors. They would be saved with the post meta data and visible in the custom tweet text area.

    Hey Joe,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I've logged and there's something here.

In the post where the tweet was successfully sent (above the custom tweet textarea) I can see the following:

    Failed Tweets:
No failed tweets on this post.

However, this is not shown in the posts that were not tweeted.

Perhaps the iOS App uploaded the post in a different way and the plugin didn't send the tweet :?

I haven't yet had the chance to publish a post with this option enabled:

Send Twitter Updates on remote publication (Post by Email or XMLRPC Client)

Could this be it? I'll let you know asap.

Alright, I've posted a new pic using the same method and it didn't get tweeted.

If I go to the admin there's no error but it doesn't say it tweeted it either.

I've never used the iOS app, so I'll explore that. Can you tell me if there's anything you're doing with that app that might not be the standard workflow?

I'm inclined to think that might be the way tha app sends the post or something.

I follow very easy and straight forward steps:

    1) New post

    3) Add title

    4) Upload 1 picture

    5) Publish.

No categories, no tags, nothing but a title and an image.

I appreciate your time Joe, your plugin rocks ;)

All right - that's a very straightforward setup to test. I'll check it out!

Just wanted to give you an update. In the forthcoming version of wp to twitter, I've tested posting from the iOS app without any difficulty, so hopefully that release will work for you. It should be released in the next few days.

    Hi Joe,

    Thanks for the update.

So, did you change any part of code?

Lately, it was constantly failing so I ended up setting a ifttt recipe to publish a tweet on every new feed item.

    Cheers.
