When you create the achievement types, are you seeing “BuddyPress Member Activity” metabox, and if use, do you have the “Activity Posts” checkbox checked?

I tried on my own localhost and it’s showing in the sitewide activity as well as my profile activity tabs. However, the badge is not showing up in my “achievements” tab for user profile at the moment, which is a known likely bug.

Yes and yes. I see BuddyPress Member Activity, and the activity and achievements box are selected. I realize the achievements is a known bug, was hoping to have them at least show up in the activity stream.

After much code tracing around, I’m at a point of believing the achievement part is ajax issues. However, that doesn’t explain your activity issue.

Are you able to confirm that the user(s) is getting the achievement awarded and it’s showing up in the BadgeOS log? The only things I can think of at the moment are that the action hook callback isn’t getting fired like it should be. Inside that hook is the code that’s supposed to do the activity inserting. The other being that for whatever reason, the create activity meta value is causing the callback to return false.

The user is receiving the achievement. It also shows up in their activity stream. It is also showing up in the BadgeOS log.

It’s just so weird that one badge shows up (although still doesn’t show up in the achievements on their profile.

Although – I realize that in the activity stream, the Welcome badge shows up, but the description doesn’t. In all the other badges, the description shows up, but the badge does not. I tried changing to the default theme and it still works that way.

I found another badge that shows up in the activity stream – and with this one both the badge and the description are visible. UHG! I feel like i have a setting wrong somewhere for there to be three (so far) different actions but I’ve gone over everything from the image settings, the achievement settings to the badge settings.

I don’t see any of these options under any of the achievement types… I tried creating an admin award type as well, same… nothing in activity feed and no option anywhere to tick activity feed

maddogmcewan, are you checking when you’re creating the achievement types? instead of on individual achievements within an achievement type?

yep i looked everywhere? tried network activate, nope, tried deactivate, activate nope…. i really need to get this up and running

@michael – need help man…. http://smeak.com, will make you admin, am on site for few more hours – been a all nighter on this, now trying Boones plugin… but really wanted badgeos

Well, it’s not going to be in any of the network activate/deactivate etc stuff. It’s under the BadgeOS menu.

    Go to

    http://smeak.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=achievement-type

Once there, click to edit one of the ones shown. It’s on that edit screen that these 2 options should be appearing on.

yep been there attached is screenshot – i made sure also everything is on under screen options

Are you trying to do this in a Multisite network? or just an individual site? If multisite, have you confirmed that all 3 plugins, BadgeOS Core, BuddyPress, and Community Addon, were all activated from the same spot, aka within an individual site or network activated?

I can’t help but think this is a case of they’re not “overlapping”, so to speak, correctly, especially if a multisite.

tx Michael for replying…. yes it is a multisite, but activating it on the main blog which has BadgeOS Core, BuddyPress, and Community Addon all installed… so bot network activated (altho i did try that as well) – no go
