• 3. Authenticate with Facebook to allow your Facebook application to post to your timeline or page on your behalf when a post is published. has a red X next to it.

I associated wordpress with my fb profile but nothing changed. I did it a lot of times but the red X didn’t remove and the link
“Connect your Facebook account to get started.” does not work.

Please advise me what to do

  • i second that

The popup dialog just flicks quickly and reloads the page, nothing happens. Prerequisites 2 & 3 are still not checked.

agreed i think its a bug that I have tried resetting the plugin… although I havent tried deleting it and reinstalling it… I have tried restting app information and that didn’t work, went through the whole process of making the app and all the icons and sumbiteed it. Still will not connect with facebook to utilize the publishing feature. everything else with the plugin seems to work ok except that

Okay. I thnk I figured out what was going on by trying a different plugin for facebook. With the other plugin i was getting a cURL communication error which is linked to my web hosting company blocking SSL over PHP. With that in mind I am switching web hosting companies and will report back next week after I switch to see if that fixed the problem.
