Theme my Login - So much promise... (2 posts)

This looked like Theme my Login was going to be a great plugin - I've been using CYC where I needed to hide the WP admin look, but it is limited. But at least it works!

I've installed TmL v5 onto a 2.9.2 install with very few other plugins running. One thing that I do need is a plugin to change emails to smtp not php_mail. But none of the user registration emails are sent (users need admin approval) although the admin notification of a pending user works fine. Also the profile page isn't themed although I did tick the box to say that it should be.

Is it just me? Do the older versions have the same features but less bugs?

As far as the e-mail situation, they work. It must be a problem with your SMTP setup. TML utilizes all of the default actions and filters so any plugin that hooks into the sending of e-mails, either by action, filter or by overwriting the wp_mail() function should work.

Themed profiles was something I quickly implemented without fully adapting. As of now, Theme My Login 5.1 automatically forwards all calls to profile.php to the themed profile version.
