[resolved] SMTP Authentication with servers utilizing SSL encryption (4 posts)

Changes to my server configuration by the hosting company requires authenticating with an SMTP server and makes it a must to use SSL encryption (port 465). There's no way to configure the SMTP section of the plugin to use SSL though.

It's sort of an undocumented feature, but the underlying PHPMailer class will let you specify the connection type & port in the SMTP Server setting:

    ssl://smtp.gmail.com:465

Maybe the plugin authors could add this the to FAQ?
