smooth slider installation

it just amazes me how stupid i am wheni though ti was smart and how little info there is for people who are not professionals. so my last slider does not work and i found this one. i set it up all great and it looks like i want. that was the easy part.

now, how in the world do i make it appear on my site? i found a bunch of jibberish about php codes and other stuff I do not understand. can anyone explain in clear terms what i need to do and what codes i need to put where? and do it in a manner that assumes i am clueless and have not been coding sites for 20 years? thats the only help i seem to be able to find. i just want the slider on the front page. thanks
