I have a space for my Vixy embed that is 640px wide, which I figured would be perfect as it would allow 360p video playback.

But the Vixy plugin isn’t using the entire width – there are black borders of approx 5px either side of the player, and this means it’s having to scale down the video slightly and this is causing choppy playback.

How can I prevent this, and get the player to use the full 640px width for the actual video and not have this small side border?

    Thanks

OK I figured it out – the standard player size of 640×385 doesn’t actually provide enough room for all the player controls, so the video is shrunk slightly.

I needed to bump the size of the player to 640×390 and now it fills the frame.
