    It appears that at least the upcomingSlug is being localized. Are Slugs really localizable? For me this leads to a 404, as it starts looking for non-existing/localized URL:

    the-events-calendar.class.php:
    public function init() {
    ...
    $this->upcomingSlug = sanitize_title(__('upcoming', 'tribe-events-calendar'));

    I removed the __() translation (and sanitization) and it works fine for me even in German ;-)

    Thanks,
    Olaf

    hey omonien. You raise a good point here; not sure of the implications, but let me get Jonah from our team - far more dev minded than I - to take a look and see if there are any concerns we should be worried about here. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience so far.

    Hi omonien,

    Did you make sure to refresh your permalinks after making any translations by visiting Settings > Permalinks? Let me know if that helps.

    Thanks,
    Jonah

    Uhm - not sure if I understand you correctly, but my point is that I do NOT want slugs to be translated - as those would not exist.
    qTranslate (which is what we use for localization) does not touch slugs, it works by adding /en/ or ?lang=en to the URLs.

    Hi omonien,

    It's a bit above my head and that's just what the dev told me to have you try. I understand a little better what's happening now and will ask for another response from the dev. Stay tuned.

    Thanks,
    Jonah

    Hi omonien,

    Just wanted to follow up with you on this. We are aware of some issues not only with qTranslate but also WPML and are going to do a more thorough review of integration with both plugins soon. No guarantees when or if this will fix your issues, but I wanted to let you know we are looking into it and will be working towards solutions to these two plugins in the coming months.

    Thanks for your patience and sorry I don't have much more to offer you here.

    Regards,
    Jonah
