Slow WordPress under GoDaddy hosting — Desparate :(

    I am currently working with a client who is pretty adamant about staying with GoDaddy as their chosen host and I am having trouble speed up the website. It is running on Linux server under Deluxe Shared Hosting. Sometimes, the website would be at okay speed but then there would be days on end where it would be super slow. GoDaddy pleads that it’s not just them…but my site. I don’t understand.

    It is just way too SLOW. Eventually, the website shows up. Sometimes I get timed out and there would be an internal error.

    I need to eventually move all of the files in the subdirectory to the root folder, but if this website is still SLOW in the subdirectory…I just don’t think it’s worth moving a slow site elsewhere.

    I am on a time constraint. I would really love immediate responses please! 🙁

    same hosting, same issue, you’re on different servers
    you can check http://sameid.net
    enter your server hostname and check another customers on same IP
    2 letters will be hidden but you can guess easily some site names
    check their performance, most likely they are slowed too…

    Yep. This site runs on WordPress: compareintegrity.com
    It’s just as worse as mine. I feel like just giving up…
    It’s terrible to have this service and have to permanently deal with it. 🙁

    Guess it’s comforting to see other websites down…at least my integrity as a web developer isn’t too much at stake…I hope.

    Looks like there are problems you should address.

    And that site is running on WP3.4.2? That’s a security risk – not a good thing…

    Ya, that site is huge delay before load too,
    Wordpress is not perfect cms, its slow and resources hungry, but there are many optimization points, even on a slow host …
    But i dont think this “Deluxe Shared Hosting” is somewhat usable.. not even for any other CMS. Can optimize, can use static pages via wp-supercache… buy the best solution is to change hosting provider

    even if your domain name is registered with them, you are not bound to their hosting

    WPyogi, its not topic author site, its another customer running another WP site on SAME server. Just to compare if other customers hosted on same server have same issues… and they have
