Slow theme file editing with WP Framework (4 posts)

    Hello,
The situation is like this, I'm using 2 x 3.0 WordPress blogs on a shared hosting. One's working just fine. I recently started another using WP Framework theme and was working on customizing it. The problem is that when I'm using the theme editor, it is very slow on saving and I sometimes even get timeouts when saving files in the editor. My blog isn't opening at those times either. I never had this problem with the other blog.

What could be the issue here, has anyone heard of WP Framework performance problems? I am a total WordPress newbie, but I imagine a fancy framework might use more server resources than a regular theme.

It seems slow to me also. I don't know about timeouts but the general performance appears much slower than all my other themes. I have only one WP installation on this shared hosting account. I also have fiber optic internet service which is as fast as it gets.

I'm no expert either but I wonder if this might be because of so many CSS imports. Uncertain and definitely not scientific in my approach.

You should see the built in theme editor as a last resort option. There are many other and some free options out there.

WP Framework shouldn't add any additional overhead to your site. Make sure you disable any plugins and test again. Let me know if it's still causing your site to slow down. Also be sure to paste a link to the site in question.

    Thanks
