   I am running version 3.5 of Uniform Server for local MySQL and Apache services. I experience very slow load times.

   For example, it takes approximately 8 seconds to load the admin screen after logging on.

   I have turned off firewalls and antivirus to try to limit the possible bottlenecks.

   Any ideas?

   use the firefox firebug add on to determine what loads so slow locally.

   is it just admin, or the user-viewable parts of the website as well?
