    Hello,

I’m setting up my site and I’ve managed to get my categories onto the slide show, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get my pages onto it. I’d prefer to have pages instead of categories. I’ve read about using short codes and have followed the instructions provided, but to no avail. I’ve read the past forums on this too.

Now I have pretty much zero knowledge of .php or .css, but I’ve copied and pasted the short code example into a new page post that I created. I set the id number to 2. I then went to theme options> slideshow> and typed in ‘page’ where it asks, and ‘2’ for the id. I’ve even tried typing in “page” and “2”.

Nothing works. What am I doing wrong? My site is http://www.streetstyleindy.com but I haven’t put my page on a menu yet so the page can’t be viewed publicly yet.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I still can’t figure out what’s going on with the short codes. Do I have to activate it somehow?

    C&P [cc_slideshow id=”2″] on a page does nothing.

    Thanks Again

Hi Liltiger, the slideshow shortcodes are a pro version feature!

Oh my goodness, I finally figured out how to have pages show up on the slide show!

First you create your page & then publish it.

When you go back to edit it, you’ll see at the top where you enter the website something like this: http://example.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=16&action=edit

Write down or remember the post ID which is automatically generated for you.

Next, go to Appearance> Theme Settings> Slideshow> Post Type
and simply type in ‘page’ without the quote marks.

Right below Post Type is Page IDs, and that’s where you enter (in this example) ’16’ without the quote marks.

    Hi Liltiger,

wow thanks for this great feedback!

This will be made more clear in the help descriptions and the knowledge base how to display pages in your slider and HOW TO GET THE PAGE ID!

And very nice not-too-technical description! 🙂

    Thanks a lot!

Lol, you’re welcome. I don’t know much about building websites, so most terms are above my head! Haha, it’s like I need the idiot’s guide in layman’s terms.
