Hi! I love this theme but I am unable to change the background color. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Hi. I am new to this and have a problem. I have my site set up, http://www.anguishasylum.com but have somehow lost the whole sliding door area. Just a big blank area now. I am not a programmer, but if someone can tell me where and what to put into where I think I can do it.
