Hello! Love this plugin, when I first create a slideshow, it’s excellent. I hit save draft, use the short code (or insert slideshow link), and it works.

But when I update my slideshows with new content (new video, text, etc), then save as a draft again (or hit publish), the slideshow is reclassified as a post, and I lose any ability to edit the slideshow any further. The edits are saved, but the slideshow is moved from the slideshow menu to the post menu.

Sorry to be too vague, but is there a general list design issues on my site that maybe to blame for causing this?

I believe it is due to the Custom Content Type Manager plugin that I have installed. Is there a way around this plugin reclassifying the slideshow class?

BTW: WordPress 3.5 and I installed the plugin four days ago.

That’s very strange, the slideshow should work on WordPress 3.5. Does the slideshow also convert to a post when you directly click on ‘Publish’ instead of ‘Save draft’? (Published slideshows aren’t visible to any visitor until you place a shortcode to it in a post or page.)

Do you have any installed and active plugins on your website? If so, I could possibly find out if there’s a conflict with the slideshow plugin.

Yes. I hit publish, then it’s listed as ‘Post’ but I can still edit the slideshow. But when I save the slideshow again after edits, all the slideshow editing options are gone and the slideshow editing appears with the basic post options. NOTE: the slideshow continues to work. I just can’t seem to edit it any longer.

Yeah, we’ve had a bunch of plugins installed from over a year ago, and there was a conflict. (I spent a day debugging)

No problem, I’m glad you were able to figure it out!
