Slideshow to show images from each post in category

I have a photography site and I´m using the F8-Static theme that shows a slideshow on the homepage (which I have configured so it shows images only from the category I choose), followed by the latest photos added, displayed in a grid. Each photograph in this grid is actually a separate post.

When you click on the different categories in the main menu, you will get to a page that again shows a grid of photos, but without the slideshow. What I want to do is put a slideshow button on this very page (archive.php), so it can be clicked and shows the images that are in that category.
