Slideshow present but no longer accepting new images

slideshow Version 2.2.11 WP 3.5.1. WPML 2.6.4.1

I have an old slide show where 2 images are working fine with url redidects,

How ever I can NOT add new images to that slideshow (top banner) because they do not display.

it’s the same with new slide shows:
the slideshow saves ok , the TITLE, Description and URL all work fine but the image does NOT display!!!
