Hello, I used this plugin on THIS SITE, and it works almost perfect. Thanks for this great plugin!

Only problem is that it doesn't show correctly in IE (slideshow or images show to small). Anyone has an idea what I should do?
In all other browsers it shows correctly...

    Thanks!

    Hi,

The problem you mention occurs on Internet Explorer 8 and older on your website. I think it may be caused by the JavaScript error I receive when loading your website. The JavaScript error is caused by a piece of JavaScript on line 118 of your source code.

The JavaScript may be put there by a plugin. In this case you could disable your plugins one by one until the slideshow functions correctly again. Otherwise it should be located in your theme.

    Best regards,
    Stefan

on line 118 I have this code:
    <div style="clear: both;"></div></div><div class="slideshow_view">

It seems to be a part of code of your plugin, not?

I see the code on line 118 has disappeared, the error is not showing anymore either. The problem is still there though, which is very strange. I'm terribly sorry to say that I haven't found a solution to this problem yet. I'll let you know when I do.

Hey Stefan, thanks for trying to find a solution...

I just tried on a testsite with same theme but no plugins your plugin, and then it shows correctly in IE... problem is that I need all the plugins on the site where the problem occurs (plugins like analytics, gallery, guestbook, contactform, seo, role scoper, sitemaps, page-link-to, meta tags)

It would be a pity if I should put some static image in this website, just because the slider doesnt show correctly in IE :(

    hello again,

I've been trying alot of things today: deactivating all other plugins, making new sliders, uninstalled completely the plugin and reinstalled it, new settings for slider... but nothing helped :(
From now the website has a static header image, changing for each page... I can't afford to let it like that, as more than 50% of visitors of this site use IE :/

If you are still motivated to try to find a solution for me, it would be very nice and appreciated. HERE is a testpage where you can see the slider, same problem occurs here (and only in IE). I hope you still find something, but website is for real business, so I can't keep trying new things on their site, lol.

    Greetz ;)

    Hi Steven,

Thanks for testing this issue as extensively as possible and for providing me with a page to test the slideshow on. I've made a local copy of your website, so you don't necessarily need to keep the page with the slideshow online.

I'll let you know when I find a way to fix this problem.

    Best regards,
    Stefan

    Hi Stefan,

Me again... there have been alot of updates in the theme and in my plugins, and meanwhile I also have IE9, and now it seems that your slideshow plugin shows correctly. But I cannot test if it shows correctly in IE8 and older... could you do some check please?

The testpage where I'he put a slideshow to test: http://www.van-gogh.be/bannertestpage/

    Thanks!

    Hi Steven,

The tool I use for testing my plugin (and websites) with old versions of Internet Explorer is IETester. It's a free tool.

There are also some paid services that are even better at testing your website with Internet Explorer.

    Best regards,
    Stefan
