    Hi –

I’m trying to get the Instagram for WordPress slideshow widget to be responsive on tablets and smaller screens. I tried to put width: 100% and height: auto in the configuration portion but it required width and height in pixels. Is there anything I can add to the code of my theme or change in the plugin css that will make this slideshow responsive?

    Hello,
Making it responsive isn’t something we can do, it depends on the website that its being included in. The website owner needs to override the styles to make it responsive themselves. By putting our own styles in there to try to do this, it would just break it on the other 99.9% of websites using the plugin.

It really is down to the website owner to add some CSS, which they can do and which WordPress gives them tools to do in their administration.

You need to spend some time on making this work for yourself – its all about context.

As an update to this, we now have a responsive version of our widget available through our website:

It doesn’t quite offer the same level of features as the wordpress widget but it is responsive.

We’ll be doing a major update on the wordpress widget soon to alleviate some of the bugs and to add in features such as it being responsive.
