I am trying an easy way to add a slideshow(s) to a page and came across these instruction on WordPress

#1 says visit slideshare to create your slideshow.
But upon visiting slideshare.net it seems this is a site to only download presentations that are already created. Am I missing something?

I also found on WP instructions for using something called rockyou. http://en.support.wordpress.com/slideshows/rockyou/
It started to upload files but then just said slideshow not available.
I went to their support page but when clicked on "contact support" (http://www.rockyou.com/help/#slideshows)
this site came up? http://rockyou.com/ry/home
Has anyone used this site recently? Or know if it is now defunct?
I can't believe i'm having such a hard time just getting a slideshow on one of my pages . . . .:(
