Meteor Slides
[resolved] Slides are too far away from the Menu Bar (4 posts)

    Ok, so I am a complete novice with .css and well wordpress too. I love the plugin, but I don't know how to get the slideshow up higher on my page. I figured out how to keep it closer to the bottom section, but the gap between my menu bar and the slider is wayyyy too big for my tastes. Can you help?

    Hi, first off there is some code, an empty paragraph, and some text above the slideshow that is pushing it down:

    <wp_enqueue_script("jquery"); <p="">Welcome!<p></p>

    Did you add the slideshow via a theme option or a widget or how did you do it? try to find that code and remove it. You don't need to enqueue jQuery, Meteor Slides will take care of that, but maybe that was in there by default.

    I added it via the widget and was putting the slideshow into the text box on the static page, but then I was reading about the jquery and how I was supposed to "enable" the jquery by using that code and I could get it into the homepage itself, which I wanted. I basically tried to figure all of this out using three different message boards and I feel like I've killed the whole thing! I couldn't find that line of code, any idea where I might find it? I thought header, or .css but its not there...

    It looks like you got the code removed. The rest of that space is added with margin and padding, you can remove some by updating this rule in your theme's stylesheet:

    #header {
    padding: 3.631em 0 0 0;
    }

    And you can remove all or some by updating this rule:

    #navigation {
    margin-bottom: 0;
    }
