    Not so happy with the extreme image cropping I see in my full-width slider in viewports between 1300px and 1920px so...can I use @media to switch it from full-width to framed at that point? Ideally that would be framed at 1270px or thereabouts but would settle for the default 1170px framed size... TIA.

    It's all in the CSS so don't see why you couldn't do that. Let us know the result. Images seems to be one of the main areas of concern. I'll see if @nikeo has anything to help.

    With thanks to @ElectricFeet, this works:

    @media (min-width: 1200px) {
    /*Stop the slider growing crazily*/
        #customizr-slider {
            max-width: 1170px;
            margin-left:auto;
            margin-right:auto;
            }
    }

    How about to set maximum height? so one can reduce/increase height? will max-height: "size"px; work?

    @sukafia, I don't think that any fixed height would help with a full-width slider. There will always be some instances of cropping - or white space overflow which doesn't look good either.
