Oxygen
[resolved] Slider Post Import Issue (5 posts)

Hi, I'm using the Oxygen theme, and have imported all content from a WordPress.com site using the same theme to hosted site. I've been scratching my head over the slider for weeks now, trying to understand why none of the articles which worked on wordpress.com are showing up on wordpress.org. I've set up the home page properly, and all of the imported pages have inherited the correct feature settings. I ran a quick test, and made a new post with identical settings to all of the imported posts, and it shows on the home page. But none of the imported posts do.

Will I have to manually recreate every page in order to make this work? Or this is a known issue with a fix?

Think of them as 2 different themes that kind of look the same from the outside.

Install Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and run it once. This will make one additional image size ( for single post ) not available in .COM version.

You also need to manually assign each post with the location that you want it to appear on front page template. This is doable in a metabox under post editing page. If not there, pull down the Screen Options tab over the top.

Thanks for your quick response. I don't think I explained the issue well enough. Your answer is great, and I may need to fix the thumbnail issue, but the problem I'm having is with imported posts. Theme's Front page template appears to ignore them. Even after I assign their feature setting individually.

    Try un-sticky them.

Yup that did it! I tried that just before your follow up.
