I’m using the JustWrite theme with the featured post slider. I have created a child theme so that I can edit the CSS etc. I initially had the problem that the featured images were being pulled into the slider at a different size to how they appear as thumbnails on the front page, and so being cropped by the slider but it was coming up with strange parts of the images. There doesn’t appear to be any option to create a different sized version for the slider, so I changed the code so that they would be the same size as the thumbnails. But even though I have done this, and the code for both the post thumbnail and the slider image specifies 622 by 500, the slider images are still coming out twice the size of the thumbnails, and really look too big. Any thoughts?

    Many thanks, Hannah

All the images featured in the slider stretch to fit the space. If you resize your browser window, you will see that images resize as well. That’s how the theme was designe (responsive design)

Hi, thanks for the answer. I’m not resizing the browser though. The issue is that although I have both post thumbnails and slider thumbnails set to 622 by 500, the slider thumbnails are twice the size of the post thumbnails. I really want them to be the same size.. Is there any way to resolve or is it best to replace the featured slider with a different plugin? Many thanks
