    Does anyone know how to find out how much space I need to reserve on a hosted site for my wordpress installation?

    It depends on your requirement. If you are planning upload images in your blog then you may require more web space. Also, each post is stored in database hence as soon as posts are increased, you will require more database space too.

    Default wordpress installation (without any post/plugin) will require at least 10 MB space and less 1 MB database space.
