sitemap submission

    I have enabled ‘notify google’ and ‘notify bing’ under the XML Sitemap options. When I check Google Webmaster Tools, it says “No sitemaps found for this site” (it been many days). Are sitemaps automatically submitted? Do I need to take another action? How about with other search engines? It also says 0 total indexes but my site seems indexed when I do a ‘site’ query.

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Hi mium,

    To speed this up you should definitely submit your XML sitemap to Google using Google Webmaster Tools. Once you’ve done that it could still take a few days or a week before they crawl it. GWT is developed by a different team to the people who develop Google search so it’s not always accurate or quick to update.
