I'm going to be creating a site that gives users added functionality if they are logged in. For example, they'd be able to upload an image.

I expect to have hundreds, possibly thousands of users. Should I be using WordPress's built-in user login system, or do I need a completely separate one.

I do not want my users to, in any way shape or form, have access to the dashboard. The extra functionality they get will be on the front end of the site only.

    Any suggestions?

EDIT: Do you know of any plugins that might create a separate login system, if this is the way I should go?

Thanks. And just so I'm clear. In a situation like this, SHOULD I be using WordPress's built-in login system?

My site will be similar to stock photography sites, where photographers would upload files and photographers and other people would be able to download them?

In this case, do I want my photogs/others to be using the same login system as me, the administrator, only with different access privileges?

    Thanks

the built in system will redirect users to their dashboard
