I migrated a site from one domain to another within Host Gator. Everything went fine. My wp-admin is accessible. My site was there this morning but tonight it is just a white screen. I have deactivated and deleted my plugins and still no site.

I changed from ithemes child site to 2011 and 2012 and still no site.
I deactivated all plugins and deleted security and wp-cache per other postings.

I can see all my files through FTP and File Manager on Host Gator CPanel. The identical site on the other domain (on Host Gator) is working fine.

I don’t know PHP, so if you need me to alter something, I will need the exact code and where to put it (be nice). 🙂

original site: http://www.nshm827.info/ the new site: http://www.nshm831.info/ I was trying to test out Backup Buddy by iThemes. Like I said, it was all there this morning. I left for work and tonight all I get is a white screen.

  • I can see the admin here – http://www.nshm831.info/wp-login.php
I think that perhaps you need to login and reset the theme.
Once you’ve done that you should be able to see the site and start re-adding those plugins.

    Christine Rondeau is right .
    definitely a theme problem.
Folder was removed or renamed .
Go to themes and choose another theme , or reselect the one you had before .

    I have the similar problem:
Deactivated one of the plugins and now it doesn’t load the website http://www.DmitryRogozhin.com – it just shows the blank white screen. Provider says it’s error 500 – Internal Server Error which could appear because of the plugin.
The main problem is that wp-admin and login.php pages are also white blank screen, and I cannot get into my administration panel to delete plugins or even re-install wordpress software.
Is there any alternative way to fix that 500 error? Ideally – just deleting the plugins, or at least re-install the wordpress software and start the blog all over again…
    Thanks for your support!

Thanks everyone. I can access my dashboard, it was just my site that went missing. I deactivated all plugins.

Dmitry – You can access this through your host CPanel under File manager or via FTP. You can rename your plugin file temporarily to deactivate all of them.

I activated 2011 and 2012 and got the same problem. Finally think I found the problem.

Somehow as I was migrating I was using Importbuddy by IThemes, I did not get to the final step where index.html is removed. Thus I had an overriding home page with only <html> </html> on it. Thus the white page.

This was created by importbuddy.php thinking it was going to import another backup zip. Once I deleted the index.html, everything works.

    Thanks everyone.

    Thank you Helen!
    I got it fixed.

i have the white screen of death right after i log in, i do not know how to get to the backend of my site, please help!

the site loads fine, i just cannot change anything now.

i will try to deactivate the plug-ins when and if i can reach my site’s features.
