   I have a new site in the works using the Photocrati theme. My issues are piling up with this theme, but for starters every link no matter where or how I put it in the site ends up being rendered with the actual site URL ahead of the URL I want to render. For example, I end up with http://www.mysiteurl.com/www.google.com when using <a href="www.google.com">Google</a>. This is happening in the WordPress backend, in widgets, and even to hard coded anchor tags. I am baffled by it to say the the least.

   Also, my widgetized footer will not even let a link be clickable. No text can even be highlighted. The recent blog posts widget displays the recent posts, but you can't click them.

   I sure hope somebody can toss me a solution!

   BTW, this is occurring in all browsers on a Mac and PC. The site URL in questions is kirstenleighphotography.com

   That's becuase <a href="www.google.com">Google</a> is wrong.

   <a href="http://www.google.com">Google</a> is what you need.

   If you don't specify the http:// in the front, all HTML assumes you mean <this URL> + .....

   Thank you. I should have known that. Now I feel a bit silly...

   Any suggestions as to why the footer widgets are not working correctly?
