Site Title Automatically added to Meta Title

I have the title template as my blog set as %%title%% but the sitename is appearing after the title.

This is problematic because there is no space between the end of my meta title and the sitename and because it makes it difficult to count the characters I am using.

Any advice for how to change the settings here?
