    Hello,

I have been trying to converting my large html (dreamweaver made) web site to wordpress for over a year and a half. Its been a painful process.

With this conversion, I will have to change the site's current messy structure, but I am not sure which format would be best in order to take advantage of WordPress features (ie. a sidebar hierarchical navigation)

    My current html structure is

    region/destination-guide/
    widget-reviews/region/destination/
    widget-hotels/
    widget-lounges/region/destination/
    widget-lounges/region/destination/lounge-name/

My dilemma is whether I should change the structure to:

    Option # 1
    widgets/region/destination
    widget-guides/region/destination/
    widget-reviews/region/destination/
    widget-hotels/region/destination/
    widget-restaurants/region/destination/
    widget-restaurants/region/destination/restaurant-name/

    OR

    Option # 2
    widgets/region/destination
    widgets/region/destination/guide/
    widgets/region/destination/reviews/
    widgets/region/destination/hotels/
    widgets/region/destination/restaurants/
    widgets/region/destination/restaurants/restaurant-name

I think the search engines would prefer option # 1, but I don't know whether I would be able to create a shared menu whereby all of the other pages for this widget could be linked. For example, if someone is reading a destination review of XYZ, I would like them to easily access the destination guide for XYZ. Would I be able to do something with taxonomies?

With option # 2, the important keyword (ie. widget reviews, widget hotels) would be at the end of the link. Not so good for search engines I believe.

What do you think? Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Donna
