Site Stats Compared To Google Analytics (3 posts)

I have a question about the internally generated site stats versus the numbers I get from my google analytics.

For example, according to the internally generated stats I have 14 total page views for today. According to Google Analytics, however, I have 70. This is quite a disecrepancy. Which one is right? And why the huge difference.

    Any information appreciated.

Are you referring to unique visitors or page views? As you can see at your Analytics account, there will be a huge difference between the two.

BTW, are you using stats from jetpack? If so, you may post the question at their dedicated section for a better-informed solution.

    Krishna,

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I am talking about page views because my internal stats don't list unique visitors but views so I compared that to analytics views.

I have not added a plug-in for stats. I am just using Jet Pack. Is there a better plug-in for stats?

I will ask in the Jet Pack forum about the problem.

    Thanks again for your time.
