Site pulling in WordPress articles and eventcal doesn’t display in ie/opera?

I’ve set my site, paulietheboss.com to pull in my last 3 stories from my wordpress blog, and the event calendar into the right of the page.

I know it doesn’t look very pretty right now, but I’m about to redesign it and I just wanted to check I could get these features to work first.

Thing is, it all works fine in firefox, last 3 articles appear on the page, as does the calendar. Click a calendar date or blog entry and you are taken to my blog as expected.

However, the page won’t display at all in Opera or IE .. any ideas why? 🙁

W3c even validates it! The only thing I can think is that the php is affecting it (I have little experience) or I’ve possibly set the wrong doctype?
