Was trying to update NextGen to latest version, together with a couple of other auto updates. Then it was stuck (step 6 of 9). The website is now down due to following error:

Warning: include_once(non_pope/class.photocrati_cache.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /mnt/webk/d3/08/51719608/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/nggallery.php on line 151 Warning: include_once(): Failed opening 'non_pope/class.photocrati_cache.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/opt/RZphp52/includes') in /mnt/webk/d3/08/51719608/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/nggallery.php on line 151 Fatal error: Class 'C_Photocrati_Cache' not found in /mnt/webk/d3/08/51719608/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/nggallery.php on line 152

What to do? Website is completely down, cannot even log in anymore!

  • @johnav It seems that not all files are uploaded, you should try a manual upgrade via FTP.
    Download the Nextgen folder here.

Thank you Tizz. You were a tiny bit faster, I was just about to write this solution:
I took the version 2.0.40 from the backup and wrote it back over the crippled plug-in.
    Now website became alive again
Logged in and did an update to 2.0.61. Result: “NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati updated successfully”

Everything looks fine. I was pretty worried but I’m happy it’s now resolved.
