    Not a happy blogger 🙁

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

yep you are not the only one, as of now solution is to clean your htaccess of wp-security ithemes code and disable the plugin :/

Same thing happened to me. I’m deleting the plugin folder and uploading an older version…

Yup, still had to clean the .htaccess file of iThemes code…

Tried updating to version 4.0.1 and still got the 500 internal server error. I’m reverting to the last version until I hear that this issue has been fixed.

My apologies. Found the reason thanks to data in another thread and pushed 4.0.2. Thanks to Matt Zak for the data to help me pinpoint the issue.

If y’all find anything further please contact me directly. As much as I would like to say I can test for every combination of config and server it just isn’t possible. With a little patience we’ll have these issues nixed shortly.

Glad a fix is on the way. The deny from structure appears to be blocking ALL traffic. Nothing like a 500 error to bring your productivity to a screaming halt.
Fixed my .htaccess by renaming to .htaccess_old, going to settings>>Permalinks>>Save. This created a new default .htaccess – all good now.

Deleted iTheme section of htaccess, renamed plugin directory to regain access to site. Reinstalled. All appears to be working OK.
