[resolved] Site Network: Same dashboard/inaccessible sites for “child” sites after crash (5 posts)

I have a network of sites running under here

There was a crash of the server and the admins did some changes to the setup, which has lead to some problems with my sites.

While I can access the main site fine, when I try to access one of the network sites like this and the same for .../spc13 I get page not found errors which curl says are 403 Forbidden errors.

Also when I try to access the dashboard of one of the sub-sites, I get the content of the main website (its posts, pages etc.) instead of the ones corresponding to the site, even though the url seems to be correct.

The admins moved the folder where my site used to be and that seems to be causing the problems, just only with the subfolder sites. Also creating a new site has the same problem, 403 error.

Any ideas on what might be causing this? What can I try to fix it?

  2. Check your .htaccess and make sure it's correct.

Then check folder and file permissions.

That's one of the problems. If I set .htaccess as it says in the Network setup instructions with 'RewriteBase /best_thessaloniki'
nothing will work, just the home page.

If I set it as 'RewriteBase /' all the pages and links in the main website will work, but I still can't view the subsites of the network.

Folder and file permissions seem to be OK, which ones should I check?

  4. Did you install WordPress in a subfolder?

Hey I was able to resolve the issues using the method mentioned in this post

It was an issue of the server being behind a reverse proxy so I had to include some extra values in wp-config.php
