   My question as a complete newbie is:
   is there a plugin that creates the code for a sitemap to be automatically generated on a static page I nominate

   I am using Google XML Sitemaps
   I have click the button to make a sitemap and even have done the google verification.

   What I don't get is: doesn't one of these plugins actually make me the html snippet that I put on my static page I created?
   Is there a blog or video of someone showing how to do this for this plugin - or is there another plugin that does this?

   So, does the Google XML Sitemaps
   not have the same feature?

   Or is it just that I couldn't find it?

   no - it's strictly for search engines' 'bots
   the one I linked to is for humans
