I have a few sections of my site that are built in wordpress and one of them has gone a bit odd. I don't think I've changed anything that should have done this and can't find how I can change it back.

It's this section: http://essexmums.org/reviews/ - and the problems are as follows:

    1. it's like there is a shadow of the date/poster on the left hand side which is mixed up with correct one of the post. This stays there if I move the top post to trash etc.

    2. None of the links are clickable

    3. The menu on the right hand side has vanished

This page here: http://essexmums.org/products/ is a rough idea of how it should look.

I edited the headers in both of these pages earlier today but as the Products one is still working I can't see why that would have affected one page but not the other. Also it's a simple edit I do often so I don't think it would have made a difference. Other than that I haven't edited it at all beyond adding new posts.

    Can anyone help?

I've just realised too that all the sidebar info is at the bottom of the page, as if the addition of the date-shadow has made that column wider and pushed the sidebar down the page.

try to fix the validations errors (error report of the reviews page):
    http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fessexmums.org%2Freviews%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

and see if that fixes your problem.

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Validating_a_Website

for comparison, the errors of the prodcuts page: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fessexmums.org%2Fproducts%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

that page also has many errors, but as long as the pages don't more-or-less validate, there is no real point loking for the cause of your problem.
