[resolved] "Site Logo" image - optimal size? (3 posts)

First of all... this is beautiful. I tried MANY different themes and I love the simplicity of your work.

I have one question though. At the top, in place of site name & tagline, I'd prefer to have an image. In the options setting you have this labeled as "site logo" but there are no recommended dimensions. I noticed you answered this question about the header image but since this is the logo section, I am assuming the size is a smaller width?

I'd like it to look good on small screens as well, and it would be great if it would look good on retina displays as well. Is this even possible? And would you recommend a .png or .jpg?

    Thank you kindly,

    Jenn

No specific dimensions, but yes, smaller width png images (with transparencies and all that) look great. Like this. The image will shrink in smaller screens, so that wouldn't be a problem. The theme doesn't do any optimization for retina displays as yet, I'm still exploring the best way to do it. For now you can try out WP Retina 2x plugin.

    Thanks!
