Site loading very slow and reaching CPU cycle limits (6 posts)

Hi my site http://bit.ly/mtlyxf is taking load to load posts and pages, even on the admin side, although the rest of the admin side works well. The CPU cycles are always reaching the limit, I don't know what else I could try.

I've already updated all plugins and themes, optimised the database tables, deleted any orphans in wp_postmeta and also cleaned wp_options. Caching plugins didn't help ease the CPU load either. I also tried with a different theme with the same results.

    What else can I try?

Hmm just ran Debug Queries and got more than 4000 queries, no wonder site is slow, I've uploaded the list of queries to http://bit.ly/kPyyu1, would appreciate if someone can take a look at it and maybe tell what I need to do to fix this, I think this should be the problem with the site.

what style are you using for permalinks and how many posts/pages do you have?

/posts/%category%/%postname%/ around 310 pages, they also have lots of attachments, linked documents for example. I just found that when I switch back to the default permalink structure the problem is solved. But I need to keep the current structure if possible. Is there any way to solve it?

Lots of stuff about rewrite rules in your debug log.

Could you tell us the contents of your .htaccess file ? You can read it with your FTP clients, or else, if your FTP client doesn't allow it, you can download it to your disk and rename it as htaccess.txt, in order to be able to read it.

    Otherwise, the usual suspects :

    - can you plese change your blog theme to another theme, and see if that changes something ?
    - can you please deactivate all your plugins, and see if that changes something ?
