• This is a fresh install.

I have set wordpress up under /blogs/ I can logon and go to the admin section. I can place posts and comments. So, the database portion is working correctly. The problem is that the permalinks won’t create the folders for the blogs or comments. So, I keep getting a 404 error. The blog folder is set at 775. The folder above that is set at 755. Files are set at 664, and folders are set at 775. So, I don’t know why the folders wouldn’t be created.

    http://www.ourtownonline.biz/blogs/ is where it’s installed.
When you click on one of the blogs you get a 404 error saying the page doesn’t exist. When I log in and go to Dashboard under latest activity I get the 404 page. Under comments it displays the hello world comment when first installed. under posts it shows both of the posts. Blog Stats appear fine as well. Below that section I get 2 more 404 page errors.

    404 – File Not Found!
You have followed a link to a page which no longer exists on the server.

If you followed a link from a referring page, please click the ‘Back’ button in your browser and inform the author of the referring page.

If this page appeared after using a bookmark (or favorite) stored in your browser, please delete the bookmark (or favorite) from your system.

I can view the comments under the comments tab when I’m logged in as admin. I currently have the default theme.

The permalink structure is /blog/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ which was the default.

Under the site admin tab – blogs tab the blog name is set for /blogs/

I’m pretty sure that’s everything. Hopefully someone can help me with this.
