    I expected that – like some other plugins – the pages that are always visible would hide content from pages that are not visible.
    That is not the case.
    If the home page shows a list of posts, these posts will be visible. It is only when clicking on the post title that the login screen appears, because that page is not always visible.

    polev is correct. The plugin began with no exceptions: the entire site was blocked. When feature requests asked for visible exceptions, I used the same technology as my jonradio Multiple Themes plugin employs: filter by the “current URL”, not by the content.

    I haven’t checked it out, but I assume that changing a Post from Public to Private, using the standard WordPress Edit Post or Quick Edit facility in the Admin panels, would give you what you are looking for: privacy by content rather than URL.
