I’d say it’s got something to do with the javascript that’s being linked in, in your form. Can it be placed in the <head> instead?

There was a threaded comments piece of javascript inside the form earlier but it’s gone now.
Oh, I deactivated that right before I made the original post. Sorry, it must have been cached.
It seems to be intermittent. Did it hang on your test posts?
It did it on mine from about 30 minutes ago and then not on the last one. 🙂

For one make sure there is no JS in the form. If a plugin is adding it in, see if you can customise the plugin so that it doesn’t insert the JS into the form and insert it into the head manually. But obviously if it needs to go in the form then it needs to go in.
Maybe a good idea to see if it’s submitting any extra CPU usage on the server when it submits the comment.

Hello,
I’ve been experiencing my blog hanging and timing out when a person posts a comment. It seems that when leaving a comment, the browser appears the comment is “posting”. Then it times out or just sits there. However the comments are posting to the site, but the browser appears to be waiting.
